If the Sasquatch were to hang out with bloggers, he’d hang out with these nice folks:

Nancy Shepherd–She’s the author of My Own Hike: A Woman’s Journey on the Appalachian Trail. As an accomplished thru-hiker she also maintains her own site right here.

Donalee “GG” White–She’s heading up the trail as we speak. Or, um, type. Check out her adventures right here.

Eric Azriel–The man also known as Meriadoc the Halfling is currently hiking his way up the trail. Check out his blog right here.

The Traveling Circus–In 2010, Kate “Ringleader” Imp, her brother Brandon “Monkey” Imp and best friend Emily “Lightning” Ginger thru-hiked the A.T. Together the members of the “Traveling Circus” captured the peaks and valleys of trail life in a documentary called Beauty Beneath the Dirt. You can check out the film (and their blog) here.

Lori “Passionflower’ Overton–She’s currently hiking her way up the A.T. and writing about her adventures here. Check it out!!…Sorry, didn’t mean to yell.

Indie writer Meg Wilson is the author of Mourning Dove and Crappy New Year. She’s currently working on Wander Women, the true tale of a group of thru-hiking superwomen who spent last season on the A.T. Check out her blog here.

From the Trails—Want to be trail-smart? (It’s just like being ‘street-smart’ but involves more granola.) Well then check out this other informative online A.T. mag right here.

Off the Couch and On the Trail—Kory Stotesbery is planning on a 2013 southbound thru-hike on the A.T. with his fiancee. And he’s leaving the couch at home. You can read much more about his upcoming journey right here.

After Tommy ‘FreeRange’ Bailey hiked the Appalachian Trail, step by step, he went on to write the fittingly named book: The Appalachian Trail, Step by Step. He also blogs about just about anything right here. Check it out!…Again sorry for the yelling.

  1. Hey there! I’ve been following along for a while now and I love the site. I’ve only ever done a few sections of the trail (as I live in central Florida), but this is inspiring me to make some time in my schedule to go a little farther.

    Keep up the good work!
